Buzios is a 95 km2 city placed in the East side of Guanabara Bay that has no district divisions and ends at the political and administrative head office of the county: Armação dos Buzios city. The city has a warm and semiarid microclimate, exclusive in the Southern coast of Brazil. The annual temperature average is about 25C. The average between the highest temperatures reaches 29C in summer and 19C in winter, with an absolute minimum of 12C. A submarine torrent that rounds the Cabo Frio Island, and the Northern wind makes the sea's temperatures colder, and it seems to be a natural air conditioner system that prevents against excessive heat during the summer. Moreover, the cold weather is not so hard, since the air masses from the Antartica don't stay for so long because of this wind's blows. This wind system makes the city of Buzios has 254 days of clean sky and starry nights, besides having a nice temperature all year long. The seawaters in front are always incredible clear. They are rich in minerals that contribute the growing of great banks of mollusks responsible for the formation of one of the two coral colonies in the south of Brazil's coast.
